Heya! So, it’s been a while since I’ve done a printed fancast but since I plan to record this one, I figured I need to go ahead and post it on my blog as well. Be on the look out for a YouTube companion video! Maybe two, I haven’t decided how I want to do this yet. But I randomly came across the show because I was playing some game on my iPad, and they kept showing me this Subway Surfers like game, and I tend to ignore game ads because they’re annoying and a lot of times unskippable. But they kept showing me this and eventually one of the ads managed to influence me and I downloaded the game. Very similar to Subway Surfers, it was fine, a little janky in the gameplay but fine. In the game, you run as either the blue haired girl or the blonde person (who I initially thought was a girl at first glance) and you collect like ladybugs or mini cats or something and at the end of the run, there was a cutscene where you see them “Tikki spots on!” & “Plagg claws out!” That’s when I realized, the blond kid was a boy lol. But then I was like “Oh, is this a show?” and so I googled and found out it was a show and it was on Netflix… so I checked it out and then got hooked. I’m not sure which season I came in on, maybe season 2 or 3. Plus, I recognized Bryce Papenbrook’s voice from Blue Exorcist so that added to my interest in the show lol.
But anyway, it’s a fun show. I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about it but I thought the most fun thing I could do is a fancasting.
The way I fancast, I tend to go off of vibes from the actor, especially since I try to check out some interviews. I do consider looks (if they look like the character or if they can by like dying hair etc.), acting abilities (if I’ve never seen their work, then I’ll see how accessible their work is and try to watch something recent), and if the characters I’m fancasting are teenagers, I always consider the actor’s age. I try to think outside of the box and I try not to typecast. It happens sometimes but I try not to do it.
Summary of the show: Marinette and Adrien, two normal teens, transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir when a mysterious evil threatens to destroy Paris.
In the show, we just had Season 5 and I believe it’s only been like 1 year (which is crazy, don’t get me started) so if they did a live action, I’d want it to be in their Senior Year of high school, so everyone is like 17-18. I’m aware of how S5 ended in terms of Gabriel, but for the sake of this, we’re gonna act like that ending didn’t happen exactly like that.
Main Leads
Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug
Being that she’s the lead of the show, I’m going to try and not make this super long lol.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng is the leading lady of the show, she was chosen by Master Fu to become the Miraculous Holder of Creation due to her selfless act of helping him even with the potential of danger herself, which was wild lol. She starts out at 14 years old and in the 5 seasons, I think she’s turned 15. She is sweet, outgoing and super clumsy among many other things. She loves fashion, her friends and family. She tends to be overly helpful sometimes, to the point where it could be to a fault. She cares deeply for people but sometimes that get her and those people into trouble. While she has a big heart for others, she’s extremely hard on herself, she struggles with self-confidence and self-esteem, especially when being bullied and it was worse before she became Ladybug but becoming the superhero, her confidence grows throughout the show. She still makes major mistakes and does stupid things but that’s life as a human teenager. A big part of her storyline is her relationship with Adrien (or lack thereof, depending on how you look at it lol) and I have a love/annoyed outlook on Adrienette but I think as the show has progressed, they’ve done pretty well with their relationship but I would have liked a bit more for them.
Even though Marinette is generally very kind, she has her limits like most people do lol especially when it comes to people who are mean just to be spiteful. She can also act extremely impulsively and gets into silly shenanigans that could have been avoided if she just calmed down because when she does, things can turn out really great since she’s extremely creative and tends to think outside the box, which is why her being LB is so good. While Marinette loves being LB, it affects her personal life in that she becomes stressed in trying to balance her dual lives, which I think most people would struggle with this and for her being a teenager… she even doubts her ability to continue being LB. There are times where she even makes decisions as Marinette to give her more time to be LB because she wants to help Paris. I think these are realistic things she experiences but the problem comes when the writing takes her a few steps forward just to bring her more steps back. Like, let the girl grow and grow officially.
As Ladybug, she’s imbued with the power of Creation and her special ability is called Lucky Charm and she has the ability to create a useful arbitrary object in order to obtain her goal. It can also purify anything “corrupt or malignant”. She also can repair any damage caused by a supervillain or Cat Noir’s Cataclysm, or really any other Miraculous power no matter the damage. The Lucky Charm turns into a swarm of magical ladybugs and they restore everything, they can also heal people injured during the crisis. She can also create magical charms to repel corrupt akumas and amoks. If the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses are used together then the holder will be able to make any wish they want and it can even alter reality. But because magic comes with a price, something will need to be done to maintain balance. So if you bring someone back from the dead then someone will die in their place. Ladybug’s base suit is fine and boring. After she became Guardian, her suit gets upgraded when she calls for her Lucky Charm and I just wish it upgraded in general when she became a Guardian. Her Miraculous are earrings and I feel like that’s probably one of the best ones because most people wear studs lol.
As Ladybug the biggest thing that changes about her is her confidence. When she believes in herself, she’s able to really think through her creativity and utilizes her lucky charm and the other heroes on her team. She’s stubborn which Marinette tends to be as well. She’s more cautious and careful compared to Cat, which helps in how they work together as team. She wants to rescue everyone and sometimes tries to do talk no jutsu to get the villains to stand down. Also according to Bunnyx, adult Marinette is a wise, calm, strong, and confident leader, and not as impulsive and irrational as she is as a teenager, which thank goodness lol. I hope we get to see that.
She has a ton of moments where she has different Miraculous or she unifies them and there are way too many to go through lol. The only time I feel like she’s different is when she’s Lady Noire because while she’s ultimately the same, she’s way more humorous, cunning, charming and flirty. She’s a bit more aggressive.
But in the end, I like Marinette, she has a ton of faults but sometimes she grows from them after learning from her mistakes. Not all the time though. That’s annoying. I could go on and on but I have to stop myself lol.
Top Choice: Kristen Li
I am not familiar with Kristen in terms of acting, she did voice Bubbles in the Powerpuff Girls reboot and I liked her energy. It was important for me to find someone who was of Asian descent because Marinette is biracial and I tend to see people cast her without considering that side of her and I don’t like that. Plus, Kristen tends to wear pigtails a lot which is Marinette’s style so match made in heaven lol.
Honorable Mentions
- Peyton Elizabeth Lee – She would be my second choice. I think she’s super cute and though I haven’t really seen anything she’s been in yet, she’s always on my radar because she has a very bright personality and disposition and I think she’d be great off of that.
- Megan Lawless – I have no idea how old she is and if she’s still acting but I’ve only seen her in The Hate U Give and I liked her in that and I like her look.
Tikki
Tikki is calm and collected while being optimistic, kind, and encouraging. She isn’t judgmental as she’s always willing to give people a chance and is very respectful towards people’s privacy, like trying to stop Marinette from looking through Adrien and Kagami’s phones but she does help Marinette even while trying to stop her lol. She’s a very good judge of character, which I think most Kwamis tend to be and she cares about those she considers friends. Very helpful in a way that shows cautiousness where things seem dangerous or where people seem misguided. Tikki is also very optimistic but she can become annoyed and exasperated with others but she doesn’t stay upset for a long time, only wanting what’s best. Tikki tends to take things literally, when Marinette asked the question, “Please tell me I didn’t just do that?” Tikki answered her. When Marinette asks someone to pinch her, thinking she means it she does it. Sometimes, Tikki shows a more playful and affectionate side, playing an air guitar solo with Marinette and playing a pretend fencing match with her. She also has a major sweet tooth, even going so far that one episode where she completely loses her mind and causes a major ruckus in Paris. She has great interactions with Plagg and Adrien when she has them and I love her back and forth with Plagg. But I also love how she loves Marinette. She’s very wise and is very much like a sister figure to Marinette.
Top Choice: Mela Lee (obviously)
She’s the current English VA for Tikki, I’m sure Tikki would be CGI and I don’t see why Mela Lee wouldn’t reprise her role.
Adriene Agreste/Cat Noir
Being that he is one of the leads of the show (though sometimes, most times, it doesn’t seem like it), I’ll try to keep this under control lol.
Adrien is a dreamer, he wants to be free and that’s about it at least for now lol. All of his life he was told what to do and when to do it and he just wants to be able to experience life, especially as a teenager. The fact that he had to sneak off to go to public school is crazy. He’s also very charismatic, shy, reserved, and also naïve but this is because of his sheltered life. He tends to see the best in people even when they may not deserve it (Chloe, Lila) but his patience does have major limits as he ended his friendship with Chloe and was over Lila because of their manipulations and lies. But because he tends to see the best in people, he can be oblivious to the darkness or mischief of others which… clearly because he didn’t see that his dad was out of his mind or that Felix was a lying liar who lies. He also struggles with being openly emotional to people. However, even with his emotional struggles, he’s very friendly and empathetic to the point where he’ll put the needs and feelings of others above his own needs. He tries so hard to be there for people even when his father denies him the little joys of supporting the people he cares about. Also, because of his upbringing, neglect and unhappiness, he’s very obedient, a bit insecure and not as lively as the others. If something seems wrong, he’ll speak up about it, like when everyone wanted to throw a party because Chloe was “leaving Paris”, he was disappointed in them. Even though he know some people aren’t amazing people, he still values life, which this even transfers over to his Cat Noir persona. So much so, where Gabriel says he’s similar to his mother in that he’s “dramatic” and “headstrong when it comes to other people’s safety”.
As Cat Noir, he’s imbued with the power of Destruction and his special ability is called Cataclysm, which allows him to negatively affect and essentially destroy anything that he touches with his ring hand. While it is usually used for object destruction, it can be used for a variety of different effects. His personality definitely changes. He gets to be more of who he wants to be. He tends to be much more impulsive, sometimes rushing head first into situations that get him into major trouble where Ladybug has to bail him out. If something is happening in his Adrien life, especially familial issues, it really affects him as Cat Noir. Like we are shown moments of him being so upset with his father, that he acts out, or in “what if” scenarios, he completely freaks out. But also, because of his neglect, his has such a want to be loved, that he relentlessly flirts with LB, holding out hope that she’ll finally return his feelings. But as time goes on, he does chill out about it and then of course the love square. For a while, he really struggles with his place as a hero (I swear this boy gives up his Miraculous every season lol) which is totally understandable because he’s always kept out of the loop. He even forces himself into Cat Walker because he wanted to be more helpful to LB. But in the end, he’s always there for her and even though she has to reinforce their partnership, he really is the best partner for her. Plus, he’s always is on her side. They’re a perfect team. Cat Noir has one of the best suits, his base suit is iconic. They get a lot of “upgrades” with powerups but his base suit is the best. He looks so good in it. There’s no way you could tell that he’s Adrien (outside if his hair but the style is different lol). The ring I feel like is precarious because rings fall off but so far that hasn’t been a problem and no one ever seems to really notice it so that’s helpful. I also like his physical cat-isms, the puns are corny but fit his personality but I like when he physically does cat things lol, it’s funny.
Adrien gets akumatized twice, but they’re both like “what if” episodes. He’s akumatized as Cat Noir and is turned into Cat Blanc (one of the best episodes) and he’s still the same but twisted. It was great lol. As Ephemeral, he’s forced to betray Marinette, there’s a lot that was going on here and honestly I don’t remember this episode but I hate when Adrien is sad because he doesn’t deserve to be so sad, he deserves the best life. Oh and he does get akumatized into Celesticat in the special (which was great by the way) but that was a good akumatization so that’s fine.
I could go so much more into him but for the sake of length I won’t lol. However, I will take this time to talk about the whole sentimonster thing and state how much I hate that theory. It has not been confirmed and until the show flat out says it and shows me proof lol, I refuse to believe it. I feel like his behavior can definitely be attributed to his upbringing and neglect. Him being obedient makes sense because he’s been sheltered all of his life and punished by being forced to stay home or in his room. After all, one of his biggest fears/nightmares is being trapped. He’s rebellious but it sometimes takes him a while to get there. He’s an abused kid and I feel like he already gets enough shit and not enough in general that the sentimonster thing is just mean-spirited. Felix being one, fine, that makes sense because it adds to why Felix and Adrien are identical but cousins. But… ugh, I hate it and I hope Adrien isn’t one. Also, I don’t like how he still knows NOTHING about his dad and he was pretty much dropped from the finale of S5, which I kind of understand but I don’t like it. So, fingers crossed for more of him going forward.
Top Choice: Brady Hepner or Jack Champion (they would also play Felix)
Brady Hepner – I’ve only seen him in The Black Phone and he played a completely different character than Adrien or Cat. He had a very small part but very memorable. I also watched this short film he was in where he got to show off his physicality, which indicated to me, he can at least fight, which is good because Adrien/Cat has that ability as well. He has an earnest face, sweet, which I think is important for the Adrien bits.
Jack Champion – I’ve only seen him in Avatar: The Way of Water and I enjoyed his character, he made me upset near the end for reasons but I thought he did a great job being the only human in the movie. I watched some interviews after because I was considering Britain Dalton for Adrien, but I wasn’t vibing with him so I turned my attention to Jack and in interviews, he had a very bright, energetic personality that I feel like would be great for Cat.
Honestly between these two lol, they can mesh and make one person. But I feel like they each would do a great job and the other persona that I didn’t highlight would be a cool challenge for them.
Honorable Mentions
Adrien is so hard to cast for, he was probably the one in my original casting where I looked long and hard. Being that Cat is my favorite character, I wanted to make sure I picked someone really good. But because that was already hard, I don’t have any actual honorable mentions, the honorable mentions I have were previous choices not possibles lol.
- Carson Rowland – My original choice but he’s aged out. I watched I Am Frankie to check him out after I came across him and I liked him in the show and he was giving me very much Adrien vibes. His interviews gave me corny Cat Noir and I thought it would be a fun challenge for him. But again, he’s aged out. I also watched Sweet Magnolias for him, and I like him in that too, I like that show in general lol. So I at least appreciate him for being in stuff I enjoyed.
- Ross Lynch – This isn’t any newfound casting, I think everyone has said this at some point. But Ross would literally be perfect, he’s a very good actor and I want to see him in more things. Go solo Ross and be in more movies… please. I beg of you. But he would have been perfect, just definitely out of my age range… unless they’re adults then definitely Ross.
Plagg
Love Plagg, he’s carefree and easygoing but also negligent, overindulgent, lazy, and sour. He isn’t very helpful and doesn’t take situations quite as seriously as he should. He’s almost in a lot of the ways the opposite of Adrien in that he likes staying in and just eating his cheese but he’s also a bit optimistic, which is funny. Plagg can also be super troublesome and he somehow manages to wander off if they’re out and about because he found some cheese. But Plagg can be serious if the situation demands it, like he tried to stop Adrien from just transforming without explaining. He’ll always speak his mind even though if what he says isn’t helpful. Unlike Adrien, who is too trustworthy, Plagg doesn’t trust anyone who is suspicious or sneaky and is a very good judge of character. Being with Adrien for a year, he really cares about him and is often trying to cheer him up and is always sad whenever Adrien doesn’t think he’s worthy of being Cat Noir, even as going so far to help him “change” his cat persona into Cat Walker instead of allowing him to give him up. I love Plagg, he’s so good with Adrien and I also like whenever he interacts with Marinette and Tikki.
Top Choice: Max Mittelman (obviously)
He already does his voice in the animated show and he’s so good no need to change it. Plus Plagg, like the other Kwamis will be CGI so it’ll be fine.
Gabriel Agreste/Hawkmoth
There’s so much to say so I’m going to try and keep this short lol. So Gabriel is very protective of his son Adrien… too much to the point where Adrien is so sheltered and traumatized. Gabriel is cold, harsh and very strict, almost heartless which I think by the end of the show, he pretty much is heartless. He makes executive decisions about his son without considering him in the slightest, “he knows best” kind of authority. He deems Nino a bad influence and later does the same with Marinette, even to the point of making a deal with Lila to keep an eye on Adrien while not at home. Crazy man. With Emilie’s “disappearance” Adrien claims that Gabriel became a changed man but he knew how to be professional and respectful at times, when necessary, mostly when it came to his job as a Fashion Designer.
As Hawk Moth and all his other supervillain identities, he’s cold and determined. If he was defeated he would always vow revenge and wouldn’t take a long time acting on it. He wanted to get the ladybug and black cat miraculous so he could combine them and make a secret wish and he didn’t care who he hurt in the process. This included kids and his own son. He knew the risks of the wish but he didn’t care about that either. Whack. He didn’t listen to anyone, including Nooroo, showing that he’s very stubborn and obsessive. He does have moments of kindness or being merciful, like when Nathalie would show her illness, he would immediately move to help her, even going so far as to have some robotic legs made for her. Same when he has very sweet moments with Adrien, but those are far and in between as the seasons went on. He was willing to give up his supervillain ways to protect Adrien from being collateral damage but again, that didn’t last long.
He does manage to get all of the miraculous after teaming up with Felix who Marinette mistakes as Adrien and gets the Dog Miraculous. It’s implied that using so many was affecting his sanity but I mean, he was losing it prior to this. But when he’s the holder of all of the Miraculous, he’s so mean to them and when he basically whittled down the physical objects into powder to turn them into rings… Chile, I was affronted! He also forced Cat Noir to use his Cataclysm on his forearm to get out of a trap that Ladybug and Cat Noir prepared which affected his health as time went on, which he also took the Lucky Charm so if there was a chance to heal him, that was the moment but he escaped and took his main chance with him. He’s insane! He traumatized Adrien when he did that. Also, while he was a smart man, he was also super dumb, he refused to understand the true meaning of things, he refused to understand that what he was doing was affecting his life and his son in a big way. Not to mention, there were always so many easier ways to handle situations but he made stuff so difficult. Not to mention again, when Adrien found someone he cared about, he could have been happy and supportive but noooooo! Instead he tried to sabotage his 14-year-old son’s love life.
While Hawk Moth he’s imbued with the power of Transmission and his superpower is called Akumatization. When he senses a strong emotion from a person, the holder takes an ordinary butterfly and charges it with energy, turning it into an akuma, which is then sent out to possess an object that person has on them. Once the akuma posseses this object, a telepathic connection is formed between the recipient and Hawk Moth. Once an accord is reached, the recipient is transformed into an akumatized superhero or supervillain with their own unique superpowers. His Miraculous is a locket brooch which I think is easy to disguise in regular life but not so much in his villain costume, it sits right on his neck lol. And I don’t think I like any of his outfits that much, I wouldn’t know his Miraculous as a butterfly or a moth at all lol. But I think the Monarch outfit pre-rings is probably the most fun though.
In the end, he made a wish that took his and his wife’s life and saved Nathalie. Which Chile, what a coward and not to mention he basically got to die a hero and Adrien still knows nothing. Don’t even get me started. I know I said this would take place later and Gabriel is already dead but eh, doesn’t matter, I still wanted to cast him since he was such a big part of the show.
Top Choice: Lee Pace
I’m rather familiar with Lee Pace, obviously him as Thranduil in The Hobbit movies was iconic lol, he’s probably one of the most memorable aspects of those movies. Plus, he was also in Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2, and he was cool in that as well. I think he tends to play colorful characters and he’s around the right age for Gabriel and he would kill this role. KILL IT! When I landed on him after having to change my original choice because I realized he’d age out, I was like man… then I found Lee and I was like WOW, can’t believe I didn’t think of him sooner. He’d do the kindness, the enraged, the deranged… so good.
Honorable Mentions
- Wentworth Miller – I think he would be such a good substitute, like I feel like I had a stroke of brilliance with him even though he’s not my main choice. He’d be so good and have so much fun.
- Vincent Cassel – He was my original choice because he’d be sooo good but then I realized he’s sooo much older than I thought. But he’s French so that helped in his original casting.
Emilie Agreste/Lady Amelie Graham de Vanily
We don’t ever get to technically meet Emilie so a lot of what we hear about her is second-hand accounts. Emilie was stated to be kind-hearted and loving towards her family. We don’t know much about her so it’s all hearsay but I will say some thoughts later. So she and Gabriel (Also Nathalie?) found the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculouses and they were going to use them to keep their son out of harm’s way. According to Gabriel, Emilie was stubborn and headstrong when it came to other people, very similar to Adrien in that way. She also apparently was over dramatic, which makes sense with her being an actress. She’s also proven to be reckless, rebellious and determined similar to Adrien in how she was implied to know the Peacock miraculous was damaged but still used it a lot. Apparently while ill, she saw her husband’s obsession with the Miraculouses, that she entrusted Nathalie to care for him and Adrien when she was gone, showing she also accepted her fate.
We also learn more about her and Amelie from Felix and Kagami’s play. She was the older twin so she became the owner of her family’s twin rings but she grew up curious, free-spirited and adventurous compared to Amelie’s responsible and obedient nature. Emilie didn’t want to be limited to her family’s lifestyle. She met Gabriel while in Paris, fell in love and renounced her title and lifestyle to be with Gabriel who was a budding fashion designer and poor. She and her sister were infertile and Emilie accepted her fate but Gabriel wanting to make her happy, potentially used the Peacock Miraculous to make it happen, that’s still up the in the air but it’s pretty much confirmed that he used the Peacock Miraculous to help her sister and husband to have a their own child (Felix).
As for Amelie, she is outwardly positive and optimistic, showing a sensitive side and saying that family should be together in times of distress. As well as appearing to be quite naïve, especially when concerning her son to the point where she believes Felix’s lies that Gabriel gave him his wedding ring (one of the twin rings) but Felix actually stole it lol. As well as covering for him when LB and CN came to her to understand more about his connection to Monarch and like girl I understand you wanna protect your son but like… he’s a menace. Or at least he was lol. We don’t see her a ton so we learn more about her in the play where she’s shown to be well-behaved and responsible and wanting to please her parents so she married a heartless billionaire in an arranged marriage which ruined her son so lol. But in the end, I guess she’s gonna be around more so we’ll see her a lot more going forward?
Emilie’s not really a regular but I figured I should put her with her husband.
Top Choice: Melanie Laurent
I’ve only seen her in Now You See Me, and I think she would be a great choice for Emilie but the only problem is that Emilie is in a coma most of the time and since in my mind, this would be set way after the show now, she’d be dead so she would play Amelie as well since they’re twins. She’s actually French and I figured I need to have at least one French actor h in this lol, so boom.

- Blake Lively – She’s blonde lol, beautiful and I think she could play both characters. Think Age of Adeline.
Nathalie Sancoeur / Mayura
Nathalie is a serious and formal woman who works very diligently as Gabriel Agreste’s assistant. She comes off cold and distant and in a lot of ways she is but she cares deeply about Adrien and Gabriel, so much so that she has done horrible things for Gabriel but also has stood up to him for Adrien. She has a strong will and most people don’t faze her even though they would faze other people. She’s objective, sensible and understanding that she can easily reason with the Agreste men when they ware acting inconsiderate or emotional, especially when it comes to each other. She’s not necessarily “nice” but she’s polite and cordial. With all that said, when around Gabriel, he affects her to the point where she becomes nervous, afraid to disappoint him but she’s also bold in how she looks at him, and hugs him. I was like oooo girl. But she’ll also do things that would be hurtful to others to please Gabriel, like stealing Marinette’s present and making Adrien think it’s from Gabriel.
She wants what’s best for the Agreste men and she truly wants Gabriel to spend more time with Adrien instead of being a villain, it gets worse at the seasons go on and she gets tired of his shit. She starts speaking up way more. But she still helps Gabriel with his villainous plans. She’s good with Adrien but she’s not when it comes to other people. She can definitely lose her temper even though she doesn’t seem like she would. Whenever she snaps at Gabriel, I live for it.
As Mayura, she’s imbued with the power of Emotion and her special ability is called Amoktization, which allows her to infuse a plucked feather from her hand fan with power, transforming it into an amok, and sending it out to possess an object owned by a chosen target, with whom she could communicate telepathically. Her actions gives the target a physical form that they choose, acting as the target’s ally until recalled with a snap of her fingers, these are called sentimonsters. Even if she didn’t create them, Mayura could either bring back to life dormant sentimonsters or destroy them through their amoks. However, due to the Peacock Miraculous being broken, it’s caused her to fall sick and her illness started to weaken her physical prowess even in her enhanced state.
When she learns that Gabriel’s desire to best LB and CN has overtaken his desire to heal Emilie and herself, she understands he’s gone way too far and it strains their relationship and she refuses to help him. Yes! Stand UP Nathalie! She continues to be his secretary and lives with him for Adrien. But things change again when Gabriel gets injured due to Cat accidentally cataclysming his arm which will spread and kill him, so Nathaniel becomes worried about Adrien losing both of his parental figures and she goes back to helping Gabriel. But like I said before, she speaks out way more for Adrien because she’s doing it all for him now instead of doing it because she cares for Gabriel which in a lot of ways turns Gabriel against her. She’s been my choice for Nathalie for a while now and I’m not 100% sold on her but I can’t find anyone else I like more than her. I feel like she would be great. I’ve seen her in many things and I think she could play the balance of Nathalie’s fierceness, protectiveness, and love for Gabriel very well. Plus, I think she’d look great in Nathalie’s look.

Major Recurring Characters
Alya Césaire/Rena Rouge
Alya is one of my favorite characters in the show, except when she’s not believing her best friend about the pathological liar, she owes Marinette a huge apology for that. But anyway, she’s very energetic, passionate, funny, confident, adventurous, yet down to earth. She’s extremely observant which comes in handy in a lot of ways, same with her natural ability of foresight. In the beginning, before she knew the secrets, when it came to anything LB and CN, she was right there and reporting on it. She was always so excited and eager to update her blog as quickly as she could. But she does have a tendency to go too far with trying to find the truth. Her introduction is also great as she immediately became friends with Marinette by standing up to Chloe for her and basically been on her side ever since, not counting the Lila nonsense.
She still a reporter type but that’s calmed down since becoming Rena Rouge and seeing how secret identities are important. I do miss that side of her and hope to see more of it going forward because I feel like she’s been stuck in being Nino’s girlfriend and being in the Adrinette fan club and I want to see her being a little more independent again. Because she’s so loyal, supportive and helpful… sometimes too much (pushy) she’s gone out of her way to encourage and literally push Marinette into being brave and spend time with Adrien. I also love that she has a big family and is great with kids.
As Rena Rouge, she is imbued with the power of Illusion and her special ability is called Mirage where she uses it by playing her flute, which creates an orange energy ball at its tip. She then swings the flute to throw the energy ball, creating an illusion wherever it lands. She also doesn’t change personality, she’s still loyal, trustworthy and her curiosity continues on. She’s supportive of her allies and she really enjoys being a hero. She’s a quick learner and she fits right in with LB and CN, in fact I really liked her banter with Cat when she first showed up. Her outfit is one of the best in the show, top tier superhero costume. There’s no way you can tell she’s Alya, her hair changes! I love it. Even as Rena Furtive, her outfit is amazing. She’s also one of the only people who gets to use the Ladybug Miraculous where she becomes Scarabella and I hate her outfit lol. She’s fine with this miraculous, especially after she calmed down from trying to live up to LB. It also helped that Cat Noir accepted her as a partner, which is shown further when in one of the universes she’s the Ladybug hero of that world but I think the Fox Miraculous works so well for her.

She’s been in a few things that I haven’t seen but plan to watch. But she’s been my choice for Alya for a while, I really like her vibe and her voice. Plus, I think she’d be great as Alya, and she’s around the same age as my choice for Nino so it wouldn’t be weird lol.

- Saniyya Sidney – I feel like if I was going for more “age accurate” casting, she would be perfect, she looks a lot like Alya. So, if they were going to do this now, with the characters being 14-15 then she would be great.
Nino Lahiffe / Carapace
Nino is a fun dude and a little annoying. He’s fun-loving, enthusiastic, friendly, and compassionate. He enjoys being a DJ at parties and hanging out with friends. He pays close attention to his loved ones that he will go out of his way, to comfort and cheer them up. He’s rather stubborn so when he sets his mind to something, he’s gonna do it. Also super willing to argue his point and he really doesn’t like when things seem unfair. He will speak up about it. He has a tendency to be a little nervous about situations but once he’s comfortable, he’ll be alright. He’s Adrien’s best friend and probably one of the people most in Adrien’s corner which I appreciate that about him. He also Alya’s boyfriend and they’re cute together and they manage to calm each other down most time.
I do think in some of the later seasons Nino has changed a little but not for the better, he doesn’t listen as well as he used too. Maybe if they allowed him to be his own character outside of being Alya’s boyfriend and Adrien’s best friend then maybe that would change. I feel like while those were big parts of his character before, they seemed to have taken over. I’m also mad, that him and along with their other friends didn’t believe Marinette about Lila, like that’s really annoying and it got worse when Adrien was the only other person on Marinette’s side. Like okay fine Nino, Marinette might be a little dramatic but Adrien is so honest and not dramatic… he’s being so serious why don’t you believe him??? But in spite of all that, Nino is caring and he often makes plans to help his friends so I guess that sometimes outweighs the stupidity with the whole Lila thing.
As Carapace, he is imbued with the power of Protection and his super ability is called “Shell-ter” which gives the user the ability to generate a massive, spherical green force field in order to obtain their goal. His personality also remains the same, he’s still willing to help others and maybe gains more bravery but you definitely know it’s him because “dude” and “dudette” still makes it into his vocabulary lol. I like his outfit, I like the hood but I do think it could have been more armor like, similar to Master Fu’s outfit. Because his backpack is his “shell” I think you can tell he’s a turtle and I don’t think you can tell he’s Nino at least not right away. The Miraculous is a bracelet which Nino already wears so you wouldn’t know right off the bat but I do think it’s noticeable on his costume if you look hard enough lol.
Top Choice: Sayeed Shahidi
So I’ve only seen him in Switched at Birth when he was a kid and he’s been in a few things but I don’t know if he wants to act anymore but Nino was sooo hard to cast. My friend mentioned him and I went back and forth with him and someone else who I wasn’t sold on so I feel like I’m settling but I do think his vibes give off Nino, just a little cooler than him. So yep.
Tom Dupain & Sabine Cheng
Tom and Sabine are the best parents lol. I’m also not going to go into super detail about them.
Tom is passionate about his job and loves to spend time with his family, he loves to play video games with Marinette and saying that she learned everything from him. He’s very protective of his loved ones, he’s stood up to authority figures for his daughter, as a dad should. He even gets akumatized because of wanting to protect his daughter lol. But he will also call people out, especially Marinette when exhibiting selfish behavior. He loves his bakery as well. Tom just cares deeply about things and his family, he’s a true romantic.
Sabine is a gentle, kind, and loving woman to her family and the people around her. She is a good and responsible parent and will often discuss issues with Marinette and give punishments when necessary. Like most moms lol she’s nosy and over-involved in Marinette’s crushes but she at least keeps boundaries. She doesn’t like injustice, which is shown in her episode where she gets akumatized which was a terrible episode in terms of how they dealt with that.
With the bakery, they’re both warm and professional and treat others with respect.
Top Choices: David DeLuise & Michelle Jacqueline Krusiec
I’m familiar with David due to Wizards of Waverley Place and I’ve had him as my choice for Tom since I started this a while ago. I think he’d be great. I’m not familiar with Michelle but my friend mentioned her to me because she’s familiar with her and I said… why not lol.

Master Fu
I’m not going into so much about Master Fu but he had a traumatic younger years and blames himself for what happened to the Guardians’ temple and many miracle boxes so he took it upon himself to become the sole caretaker of the last Miracle Box. But he’s very caring and considerate and he takes his job seriously as he tested Marinette and Adrien to see if they were the right choices for the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous. He doesn’t want what happened in his younger years to happen to Paris so he broke the rule and trusted his instincts about choosing the Holders and didn’t immediately search for adult potentials who are generally better choices as they won’t transform back whenever they use their special ability.
My only gripe with him is that he didn’t give Adrien the same kind of care he gave Marinette in making sure he knew just as much about this stuff as he did with Marinette. Sure, once she became the Guardian, it was her in her hands, but I feel like a lot could have alleviated between LB and CN if Master Fu was upfront with Adrien about certain things. He left him to his own devices a lot. But outside of that, he’s kind and respectful and trustful, clearly as he put the power into teenagers’ hands lol. He’s also lighthearted and likes to joke, his relationship with Marinette is very nice… once again making me upset he didn’t do the same with Adrien.
We do get to see him use his Turtle Miraculous and become the Jade Turtle (great costume, great name).
But in the end, we love Master Fu, great teacher, great guardian and we miss him. He’s not dead or anything, he’s just lost his memory and is living with the love of his life so lose one thing but gain another.

I’ve heard him in animated shows here and there over the years. But this was a hard cast so I just went with someone I think would be great in the long run. Since this would be set later, we might not even see much of him since Master Fu has lost his memory of the Miraculous.

Chloe Bourgeois / Queen Bee
You know, just as Chloe is the reason why so many people have been akumatized, she’s been akumatized probably the most and a lot of times she welcomed it lol. Chloe is bossy, egotistical, and superficial who will do everything in her power to crush and loves making her rivals’ lives miserable, particularly Marinette who she despises. She thinks highly of herself and lowly of others believing that she deserves everything and takes pride in her luxurious lifestyle. This causes her to think she should never get into trouble and uses her father, who is just a doormat, to get out of trouble and get what she wants. She is so spoiled and honestly needs a good slap in the face and therapy. She believes she’s the most important person in the world and wants everyone to adore her if she doesn’t think they already do but she acts like this not only because her own mother acts like this, but Chloe wants to impress her and her father just lets her.
If she feels like she’s not getting the attention she thinks she deserves, she will do underhanded things, and drag Sabrina into it (who we will talk about later), to get what she wants. She’s lied, stolen, cheated and much more to get her way. She’s mean, callous and careless to everyone, even adults who just let her. It couldn’t be me. But… in spite of all that, when given the opportunity, she can be very courageous and willing to help those she deems important, or who she values or admires. In the beginning, she was such a fan of Ladybug that she would jump at any chance to meet her and she wanted to be just like her. She would dress up and even practice with a yo-yo. Even though Chloe is really awful most of the time, she has her moments which I think is why fans really want her to have a redemption. I think she deserves it, plus we’ve seen the potential! Plus, sometimes she would do things because Adrien asked and she has a crush on him lol, in fact he was the only one for a while who saw the good in her.
As Queen Bee, she is imbued with the power of Action and her special power is Venom. Her personality is the same in a lot of ways but she’s… nicer? More of a team player but unlike everyone else, she didn’t care about hiding her secret identity. She wanted everyone to know because she has to be in the spotlight. She wants to be famous and adored like Ladybug and will even do stupid things thinking it’ll help. She’s hasty and quick to act which isn’t always needed so she does have to learn to be more of a team player. She even gave the Miraculous back afterwards so that’s a big deal, a huge step for her. I like Chloe’s outfit, it definitely gives inspired by a bee and I think she also was inspired by Ladybug’s look too, in that it’s a jump suit because I feel like Chloe would have gone in a different direction otherwise. The Miraculous being a hair comb works because Chloe’s hair is always in a ponytail so it’s just an accessory but she won’t have to worry about that any time soon lol.
But after she got a taste of being a hero, she was upset that she kept getting passed up for the opportunity to help again. It made her resentful because she believes the Bee Miraculous is hers which it isn’t and clearly won’t be now lol. But this is how she ended up working with Hawk Moth because he gave her the power she felt she deserved. She ends up becoming an official enemy because she refused to believe that Ladybug was right and that Chloe isn’t entitled to the Miraculous just because she helped out a few times. Chile, her parents really messed her up. It’s also crazy how she doesn’t understand that people get akumatized because of her and that the heroes are constantly saving her because of this… like girl… get a grip. She hates them so much that at any point, she will lambast them on television, call them names and claim that if she was Queen Bee and in charge, she wouldn’t have lost the Miracle Box, which Chile… Paris would probably be in ruins.
Her attitude gets to bad that even Adrien, who always saw the good in her and tried to encourage her, tells her that he’s finished with her. In nicer terms of course. Her father even says she’s heartless. She teams up with Lila later. The way Chloe spirals, she ruins any chance to reconcile her friendship with Adrien, her treatment of Sabrina worsened compared to how she treated Lila, basically treating her like an equal and treating Sabrina even worse, to the point that Sabrina turned against her. Chloe got Marinette expelled and Ms. Bustier fired for trying to help her. She even becomes interim Mayor of Paris, which this would never work and these people are dumb for this… it’s wild. But where she is right now is that she tried to hurt Marinette one last time, Marinette for real for real stood up to her and Chloe is all alone. So… we’ll see what happens going forward.
Top Choice: Tommi Rose
I was watching I Am Frankie for Carson and when she showed up, I was like oh my goodness, SHE looks like Chloe. But I try not to go off of only looks so as I watched the show, I really enjoyed her. Her character was very nice so Chloe would be a 180 from that character but I think she could do it. Chloe has a lot of potential as a character and I’m not sure what the plan is for her since Thomas Astruc has said he hates her and will never allow her to be better… which is dumb because I like when Chloe is on our side… but I think Tommi Rose would do so well and since in my mind, these characters are older in this fancast (high school seniors), I feel like Chloe would have come a long way from where she is now but maybe still struggling because you can’t change your personality over night.

- Emily Alyn Lind – Since I looked into her younger sister, I checked her out too and I really like her speaking voice. I think this would be in her wheelhouse but slightly different as she seems to play characters that seem mean but aren’t exactly.
- Kerri Medders – I haven’t seen her in anything but I really like her look.
Lila Rossi
I hate her lol but she’s a good villain. She’s proud and loves attention and she will lie (a pathological liar, she needs therapy but she’d probably con the therapist) to get whatever she wants. She will do whatever it takes to always have the attention or cause situations that would discredit anyone who threatens her lies, which is why Marinette basically becomes her archenemies. She lies for everything, basically her home life is a lie, her not being at school was a lie, and even her introduction was a lie. She bought a fox necklace that looks like the Fox Miraculous to show Adrien she’s a descendant of the fox hero, she even gets akumatized and “joins” their team. She also doesn’t forgive or forget, she’ll plot instead. She’s mad at Ladybug for exposing her lies to Adrien (which Marinette did that because she was jealous) and then mad at Marinette for the same thing. I’m actually pretty sure that Marinette almost got akumatized because of Lila.
She ends up working with Gabriel Agreste because of her desire for vengeance against Ladybug. This works for a while but then Gabriel ends up dropping her which causes her to want to get back at him too. Since she’s a good liar, which she is since everyone believes her all the time, which is so stupid lol, she’s very observant and intelligent. She notices the most subtle things that no one else would notice. When she’s mad, it’s even worse. She also lies to adult women who she tricks into thinking they’re her mother, I have no idea how this is working… all of these women are dumb. She’s been akumatized a few times but she’s welcomed it unlike most people and each time she’s gone after Ladybug or Marinette.
Now, it’s revealed that her name is actually Cerise, she’s been wearing a wig, Lila isn’t real. She’s reapplied to the school under her real identity and appearance and now has the Butterfly Miraculous and she’ll be the new Hawkmoth. Which… ugh but at least she’ll be overall smarter than Gabriel lol but I hope Marinette punches her one good time.
Top Choice: Siena Agudong
I haven’t seen her in anything yet but I like her look a lot. She was originally in my honorable mentions but since my original choice has almost aged out, I had to look again and she was favorite of my honorables. I think she looks like Lila and I like her vibe. She has a very sweet aura so this would probably be different for her.

Supporting Characters
Kagami Tsurugi / Ryuko
Kagami is interesting because she infuriates me in a lot of ways, mostly in the later seasons. But, she’s very strong minded, fierce and thoughtful but she doesn’t have a lot of friends due to her mother’s elitism and the fact that Kagami is just always busy. But she is able to connect with Adrien, and and immediately falls for him. She is also extremely dedicated to accomplishing any commitment she makes. Likewise, she can be somewhat reluctant and quite stubborn, willing to go out and take risks regardless of what is at stake for her. However, she learns from her mistakes, knowing there are times where she isn’t the winner. Despite her wits, Kagami has a small habit of jumping to conclusions, which obviously as an observer with the information, it burns my grits. She is very familiar with fencing, which is how she met Adrien in the first place, she’s aggressive and will use her wits to taunt her opponent, which honestly is how she ended up spilling her secret identity as Ryuko. Like girl hush up. She hides her emotions but she’s so emotional, which is fine, I think it’s nice to have different kinds of emotional ranges. She’s been akumatized four times because of her emotions and jumping to conclusions. She really wants to make friends and so far I would say her only true friends are Adrien and Marinette. I feel like she’s been around the other kids but she doesn’t go to their school so it’s not enough for my memory to remember it… and then the whole Lila thing… girl lol. I was so mad at her for even falling for that nonsense. Some may think she’s mean and maybe she is a little but she’s just blunt and values honesty and trust. Also I just remembered, when she was akumatized into the one with the horn, wasn’t that because of Lila? I mean people can change but girl, Lila was a liar then… she didn’t change that much lol.
But anyway, she’s closest to Adrien because they dated and she let him go so he could pursue his feelings for Marinette. I actually think the way they handled Kagami and Adrien was pretty realistic with all the feelings involved. She’s close with Marinette (that was work lol) and I like when they’re being friends because Kagami is very observant and often calls Marinette out which is usually needed. I know some fans ship all three together, I personally don’t lol but I won’t deny that the potential seeds were planted.
When she becomes Ryuko, she’s imbued with the power of Perfection and her special ability doesn’t have an actual name but she’s able to transform into three different elements: water, air, and lightning. Her miraculous is a beaded choker that I think works as both part of her costume and regular outfit as it’s a necklace, so it should be fine. I think her suit is also really great, I love the dragon tail swirl from her body down one leg, it’s really nice to look at, plus the horns in her hair. Very cool and sleek look. Her hair is the same though so I think you can tell it’s her plus I’m pretty sure she announced her identity when fighting her akumatized mother so there’s that lol. Maybe if she had a long braid or her hair was a different color or something that would help. Her personality is very similar in that when she first got the miraculous she tried to fight on her own, something she’s used to doing and since Kagami also tends to jump to conclusions, being easily influenced, even though she thinks she isn’t, it’s not hard to see why that would be enhanced as hero. She’s also good in a fight due to her knowledge of fencing, so it wouldn’t be completely new to her.
Top Choice: Devyn Nekoda
So I’m not familiar with Devyn Nekoda at all but I was having a hard time finding someone I liked for Kagami. I was gonna settle for one of the honorable mentions, but I wasn’t sold lol. So I found this actress and I really liked her look and her vibe. She has a sweetness to her that Kagami needs in her vulnerable moments but also a severity in her face that’s also needed.

- Miya Cech – I’ve only seen her in The Darkest Minds and that was a while ago and she’s also around the “right age”. I think she skews a bit more “sweet” but that’s fine lol.
- Momona Tamada – Technically the right age for them being in their last year of high school but I always tend to cast a little older because of child labor laws and what not lol. But I think she’d also be great, my friend has mentioned her often for Kagami because she really liked her in The Babysitter’s Club show from Netflix but she’s about to play Ty Lee in Avatar: The Last Airbender and while I’m not delulu that this will actually happen you never know and that might be too much!
Luka Couffaine / Viperion
Luka is best boy honestly, love Luka. He can be a little bland but he’s so sweet and honest that I appreciate how he’s just always around with a kind word, and a smirk lol. I haven’t talked much about the appearance of the characters but Luka is interesting because he’s cute but sometimes he looks weird and I think it’s the shape and size of his eyes coupled with the smirk lol. But anyway, unlike Juleka, his “twin”, he is very calm and reserved who has moments of being playful, charming, mature, and flirtatious. He is empathetic at reading people’s emotions and usually expresses them through music. As I said, he’s so sweet and when it’s for people he cares about, he’s so generous and attentive. He makes friends easily and he tends to “adopt” everyone right into his circle, very big brother of him. Luka is the epitome of easy going and relaxed, like he’s truly the best boy. He only ever really gets upset if someone close to him is being wronged or he’s being lied to. Both times he’s been akumatized is because he was being lied to or people he loved were being done wrong.
He’s also very understanding, maybe a little too much and patient. He understood so well with the whole Adrinette thing that while he was clearly sad about it, he understood and let Marinette go. Plus, he’s the only one who knows both of their identities, he even went away because of it… which don’t get me started. He also is part of Kitty Section, playing the guitar and he writes music. One of his big things is “hearing the melody of someone’s soul” etc. lol and it’s corny but it’s fine. Though I did find it hilarious when his soul or song or whatever it was, was taken and turned into a record and his song was TRASH lol.
As Viperion, he is imbued with the power of Intuition and his special ability is called Second Chance which allows him to place a mark on his bracelet and go back in time as many times as needed. His miraculous is an ouroboros bracelet which looks like a regular bracelet a rocker dude would wear so he’s good on that and in the costume it’s the same color as his suit, so it can blend in. His hair kind of changes color, the blue gets deeper as Viperion but I think he looks the same so I could see how someone not affected by the magic of the Miraculous would recognize him. His personality also doesn’t change, he’s still very caring and helpful and because of his calm nature, that works in his favor as Viperion so he can notice what needs to be changed using his ability. It was a great choice to pick Luka, after failing horribly with giving it to Adrien lol. His suit is also nice, I like the colors and that his “weapon” is a lyre. I think it’s a good suit.
Top Choice: Asher Angel
I’m only familiar with Asher Angel because of Shazam and I really liked him in those and I wish he was utilized more, I was way more interested in his version of Billy anyway. I hope he pops up in more things because he has a ton of potential. But anyway, he’s been my choice for Luka for ages, I’ve never changed it. I know that they retconned Luka and Juleka to be twins and she was held back a year but that’s dumb. Him being 16 and dating Marinette (14) is not weird, it happens all the time. It’s a Freshman and Junior in high school dating. Besides, he clearly is older than all of them based off his appearance and personality alone. Sure sure they “fixed” it with Juleka being held back but he could have just been older than her. Like, give me a break lol. So in my version, they are not twins, he’s Juleka’s older brother by two years (he can even only be a year ahead of them or something) which would work perfectly for Asher since this live action would be when they’re older so Luka at the most would be 19 going on 20. But he would be great. He can sing, he can do soft and he’s charming like Luka. Bonus, give him some blueish highlights and he looks like him too.

Sabrina Raincomprix/Miss. Hound
Sabrina is a meek, mousy, and very loyal girl to Chloé, who always tries to impress Chloé and get on her good side by helping her, to the point of service. Due to her being around Chloe, bossed and bullied for so long she can be very unlikable herself, very conniving and so mean but I guess birds of a feather. Though she does have many great moments of clarity and not being the horrible person that Chloe can be. Even in the movie, they showcased this. Whenever people are being nice to her, she can show major compassion and generosity and she’ll even give praise when its due. Even though Chloe is not great for her, until she acts right, Sabrina loves her best friend and always wants to be around her and play games like they used to as kids. She has a childish, naïve nature about her. I think Sabrina goes through a lot of ups and down in personality only because she hangs out so much with Chloe that it’s like whiplash with her because she’ll do most things Chloe asks but she does draw the line sometimes but then somehow Chloe still manages to get her way. But because her father is a policeman, Sabrina doesn’t really do things that are against the law and won’t break it, and she loves her father which is great.
As Miss. Hound (terrible name, her French name is cool but I feel like they could have incorporated “chienne” in her name), she is imbued with the power of Adoration and her special power is called Fetch, which allows her to to fetch and return any arbitrary object that has been touched by the ball. Sabrina has the absolute worst of the costumes, it’s so bad lol. I feel like they could have been way more creative with her but maybe Sabrina herself isn’t that creative, her regular attire already isn’t great so maybe Sabrina herself has tacky taste. But I feel like it could have been cuter and ugh that hat. But I think you can clearly tell who she is and I think you can tell her animal is a dog… I think. Sometimes. Her Miraculous is a choker collar, which I think is easy to be disguised normally and it blends in with her black turtleneck of her costume so it’s fine. She also becomes more playful and bold. We don’t get to see her often in this role so it’ll be great to see what they allow her to do in the future since she along with the others gets to keep her Miraculous.
Top Choice: Francesca Capaldi
She was most notably in Dog with a Blog when she was a kid which I only saw a few episodes of and it was a bad show lol. But I watched a recent-ish interview of her and I really liked her vibe and speaking voice and she’s been my choice for Sabrina for a while.

- Kyra Krumins – I’m not sure if she’s even still interested in acting but I did see her in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake but that was a long time ago… so I really was going off of her look. I feel like she has this kind of melancholy about her that works for Sabrina.
- Claire Engler – So I’m not super familiar with her but I have seen some of the thing she’s been in but they were tv shows and I don’t remember her enough to really have an opinion but I like her look.
Alix Kubdel / Bunnyx
Alix is the tomboy of the group. She’s tough, stubborn, reckless, and self-confident, she isn’t afraid of challenges or saying what is on her mind. At the same time, she can be kind and grateful and she’s great with her friends. She’s also one of the few we see as an adult and she is full of self-confidence, I actually really like Adult Alix lol and even though she believes in herself, she isn’t afraid to admit she needs help and has grown out of being reckless. She’s very responsible with her powers and probably so far, the best one with them. Since her powers deal with time, she knows how to operate to not mess up anything.
As Bunnyx, she is imbued with the power of Evolution and her special power is called Burrow, which allows her to create a portal that leads into a pocket dimension ‘the rabbit burrow’ where there are many portals where she can see and travel to any point in time. But big difference to the Snake Miraculous is that she can participate in the events without changing the future but she isn’t immune to the changes compared to the Snake Miraculous. We haven’t seen a ton of young Alix as Bunnyx as she got her miraculous fairly recently but adult Alix is awesome as I said lol. I really like her outfit, it’s one of the best. The white and blue compliment each other and her Miraculous is a stopwatch that you can’t really see on her when she’s transformed so great job on the disguise. I love that an umbrella is her weapon. She also gets to use the Dog Miraculous and later unifies it with the Bunny Miraculous and she’s cute in both looks. Her hair I think has changed colors or something because young Alix has pinker hair but Adult Alix has redder hair so I guess… maybe you wouldn’t recognize her? lol
Top Choice: Paris Berelc
So I haven’t really watched anything Paris Berelc has been in but I did watch a few clips of Alexa and Katie and interviews and she’s been my choice for Alix, even being my original choice. I like her look, I feel like she would be great.

- Storm Reid – I’m very familiar with Storm Reid and I think she would be great. I feel like the attitude that Alix has just in general but also being a tomboy, I feel like that would be different for Storm and she would do it well.
- Arica Himmel – I’m not familiar with her at all, I know some of the stuff she’s been in but I have’t watched them but I really liked her look.
Le Chien Kim / King Monkey
Kim is the jock of the group, also a himbo. He’s the “king of competitions” and loves making dares which annoys everyone, because he plays too much. He’s probably the most confident of his classmates, especially of his athletic abilities. Because he’s confident, sometimes it ventures into arrogance which causes certain problems. He also isn’t afraid to tease others, not understanding that he’s doing too much which could hurt other’s feelings. With all that said, he’s very caring, forgiving (showing how he still likes Chloe even though she’s so mean to him) and lovable. He has played cruel pranks on others, just thinking it’ll be funny without taking into consideration how it could affect the person. But I think he calms down as the show goes on in terms of his pranks. He’s besties with Max and they just have an easy friendship, they never really go into how they’re so opposite or anything.
As King Monkey he’s imbued with the power of Derision and his ability is called Uproar, which allows him to summon an item, that, upon contact with someone, makes that person’s abilities malfunction. He’s literally the same as he is in real life as King Monkey, maybe a little goofier because his ability just calls for that. I like his suit and I think you can’t immediately identify his miraculous since it’s on his head and could be part of his costume but it also sticks out a little so hard to tell. He also can’t just walk around with that on his head lol, it’s weird. You can definitely tell he’s a monkey hero though, probably one of the few that’s obvious on what his animal is. His hair, while styled similarly, it’s a different color and there seems to more of it lol so maybe you can’t tell it’s him.
Top Choice: Tristan Pravong
I’m actually familiar with him because he was in The Black Phone, and while he wasn’t in it very long, I thought he made an impression, especially when he’s talking to Finney through the phone later in the film. I thought he was very good. I think he would be great in this role, he’s tall, he seems very serious so I think playing the playful, almost Himbo Kim… he would be great and have tons of fun.

- Lance Lim – I saw him mentioned a lot in fan casts so I thought I’d include him.
Max Kante / Pegasus
Max is a gamer and technology fan. He’s smart and probably the smartest in his class when it comes to certain subjects. He’s besties with Kim which always makes me laugh, an unlikely duo. Max likes to share his knowledge, he’ll often just go on and on and might even disclose something that should be a secret lol. But he’s friendly and always willing to help his friends with his knowledge and support. However, when it comes to games, he might be a little competitive and gets upset/sad when he loses at something he thinks he should win.
As Pegasus, he’s imbued with the power of Migration and his ability is called Voyage, which allows the user to create portals to travel places. I don’t think he’s that much different as Pegasus, maybe braver but everyone gets their chances to be brave as regular people in the show. I think his costume is nice, it’s very sleek and I think it’d be hard to tell it’s Max because his hair changes, I guess like a horse’s tail, though I’d never know his animal was a horse to be honest lol. But anyway, his Miraculous is a pair of glasses and while on, they’re like sunglasses, which is very noticeable to me unless you just think they’re something the hero wanted as part of his costume lol but regularly they’re regular glasses with dark frames which is fine since Max already wears glasses but like… are these just cosmetic or are they prescription? I have questions, does he wear two sets now?
Top Choice: Caleel Harris
I haven’t seen him in anything, or if I did, he was really young. I didn’t watch the mini series “When they See Us” because I just can’t but I hear he’s great in it so if he’s in that, then he’ll be great here. I like his vibe and his style and while Max is kind of the tech nerd of their class group, I feel like Caleel would be able to balance that but also make Max cool, because sometimes I’m like bro… you need some charisma lol.

I have a lot of options for Max, he was actually kind of hard to cast so I think any of these guys could do it outside of my final choice.
- Jahi Di’Allo Winston – I’ve seen him only in Proud Mary and he continues to stick in my brain for roles I think he would be great in. But I feel like this would be a different role for him since he doesn’t give me “nerd” vibes the way Max does so I’d like to see it.
- Jaden Michael – I haven’t seen the Colin Kaepernick movie he did but I watched a clip and an interview and I liked his vibe but I feel like it’s important that Max is played by a darker skinned actor.
- Skylan Brooks – He’s an easy choice, he’s played a similar role in The Darkest Minds.
- Amarr M. Wooten – I think he was my original choice but Caleel Harris took over for me lol, I’m not familiar with his work but I did like his vibe.
Mylene Haprele/Polymouse
Mylène is a meek and cordial girl and although she tries to be brave she’s easily scared which causes her to get akumatized at some point. She also doesn’t like being made fun of (who does) and is often affected by teasing. She’s kind so she appreciates when others are the same. She’s an activist so many environmental or moral things that happen in the show that allows the citizens to react to it, she’s always one of the people who is front and center. I like that about her, it makes sense with her style even though I really don’t like her hair. It’s not terrible but they could have done something different. She and Ivan date and she’s an anchor for him and his anger. Honestly, once they got together, his attitude got better, he wasn’t so angry anymore, or at least as much. I think their relationship is cute, she supports him in the band and he’s always supportive of her activism. Cute couple.
As Polymouse, she’s imbued with the power of Multiplication, which probably one of the most straightforward of the “imbuing” lol. Her ability is Multitude which allows her to shrink down and create numerous clones of herself for a long time. Her personality also remains the same for the most part, maybe she gets a little more brave. I think her outfit is cute but I think you can tell where her miraculous is since it’s literally a necklace on her chest lol but she normally wears a necklace so regularly it would be fine. I don’t think you’d know it was her because her fringe in the costume isn’t something she already has and if she does, we never see it because she wears a bandana.
Top Choice: Morgan Lily
So I’ve seen her in small roles, like young versions of characters but nothing super substantial and I’m not even sure if she’s still acting like that but she’s petite, I thought she was super cute as a kid and a good actress in what I saw her in. I hope that’s the same still lol and I think she also looks like Mylene too. I would not however, have her have the same hairstyle that Mylene currently has. She can keep it colorful since Mylene is kind of a hippy anyway, but not these weird dreadlocks.

- Brooke Singleton – I haven’t seen her in anything but I like her look and I like her vibe and I feel like she would be great as Mylene. I would keep the locs for her though.
Ivan Bruel/Minotaurox
I consider Ivan to be a gentle giant, he’s a tough guy with a kind heart. He often seems grouchy and stubborn and he’s mostly like that when he’s being forced to do something he doesn’t like. He has big emotions actually. He’s a member of Kitty Section and he loves that so if he’s doing something he likes, he’s into it. He can be enthusiastic and supportive to others but most of that goes towards Mylene, his girlfriend. They’re really sweet together and they basically have been going strong since the first episode lol. People tend to be patient around him which allows him to open up or be more forward. He’s also super honest enough that he’s a bad liar.
When he becomes Minotaurox, he becomes imbued with the power of Determination and his special power is called Resistance which gives the him the ability to be immune to any other abilities. He’s one of the group whose personality changes in that he becomes more confident in himself especially when he’s using his power because he doesn’t want to hurt others. His suit is fine, it’s boring but it works because it seems insulated, I feel like it could have been more armor like. Also, his Miraculous is a nose ring, it’s really tiny so… maybe you’ll never catch it but I guess he just has to wear the nose ring all the time now lol. Also also his little blonde fringe is hanging out so you can look at him and tell that he’s Ivan, personally. But it’s fine.
Top Choice: Shamon Brown Jr.
So since my original choice aged out, I was really looking hard for someone to fit this role, so I at first landed on one actor from a movie but then I went to his co-star and I was like “ah yes, that’s the one” and I present Shamon Brown Jr. I’ve only seen Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which was great and he played Michaelangelo and was great in the role. I looked up some interviews and I like his vibe, gentle giant is what is needed and he gives me that.

- Brady Noon – Who I went to originally before I went for his costar. I do think he’d be great though. I’m familiar with him from Good Boys and TMNT: MH and he’s great in both so o he’s my second choice for Ivan.
- Aedin Mincks – Similar in vibes to my original choice but I wasn’t completely sold yet.
- Peyton Meyer – Gentle giant vibe is what I got from him but he’s aged out.
- Bradley Steven Perry – My original choice and of course familiar with him from Good Luck Charlie and I thought he would be perfect but he’s aged out.
Juleka Couffaine/Purple Tigress
Juleka is very shy and nervous around others but she’s really kind. She’s not very talkative and when she does, she mumbles. When I first watched it cracked me up, it still does but I think it’s a good character trait. She’s not expressive so when she is, it’s for a very good reason. Because she’s quiet, she feels unnoticed and forgettable, so often that there’s an episodes dedicated to that but she’s loved her by her friends. She’s very affectionate with her friends and particularly Rose. Unlike the others, she tends to not be super afraid of things that scary. Her and Rose were shown to be close but as the show went on, I was like oh, are these two together? They never say it but they’re always together in the background, arms interlocked and I was like oh okay they’re dating lol. And then in one episode where Juleka’s song gets taken or something, she sings a (good) song about basically loving Rose and then trying to add her friends in at the end and I was like lol okay girl. We know, don’t hide it. They’re cute. It’s the quiet shy one and bright loud one trope lol.
When she becomes Purple Tigress she’s imbued with the power of Elation and her super ability is called Clout, which gives the user the ability to charge their fist up with powerful energy and gain a ‘sudden burst of energy, courage, or fighting spirit. She is more confident, braver and fierce, very much unlike her normal personality. Just like a tiger, she is stronger, fearless, and loyal to her team. Which I’m pretty sure after her first time as a hero, she started to become a bit more confident in her normal life and unafraid to speak her mind at times. She also has one of the best costumes, you can’t really tell it’s Juleka, which is great, and everything is so good. Her hair, the costume, love it though it does suck that you can tell what the miraculous is though because it stands out on her suit and in regular life. Maybe not too bad since she wears gloves but I feel like the panjas bracelet would be noticeable.
Top Choice: Malina Pauli Weissman
So I know she was in The Series of Unfortunate Events, the show that I haven’t watched but as I was looking at options, I kept coming back to her. I did see her when she played Young Kara in Supergirl so I was a little familiar. She kind of gives me melancholy which Juleka has but is trying to break out of. I think Malina would look great in Juleka’s look and since this would be when they’re a little older, hopefully Juleka would have come out of her shell a little but still maintain her quiet personality because you can grow confident but that doesn’t mean you get louder each time lol. So I feel like she could do it either way.

- Lola Flanery – I was really going off of vibes and look, she has dark hair and intense eyes and I’ve only see her in Shadowhunters, but I was like huh, she would could be a good option.
- Emilia Jones – I haven’t finished Locke and Key but I did watch the first episode and I feel like she could play Juleka.
- Emily Robinson – She was my original choice but she’s aged out of my age range. Even though I’d do this cast in their senior year of high school or like first year out of high school, she’s still just a little past my range of 23. But she looked like she could be Asher Angel’s sister and I liked her vibe but alas.
Rose Lavillant/ Pigella
I find Rose to be super funny because she’s so loud but super sweet and optimistic. Sometimes to an annoyingly degree, she’s part of the brigade who’s spends too much in Adrienette’s business but I guess for her she cares too much about everyone so it’s on par. She’s the lead singer of her rock band Kitty Section. She’s very sensitive and naive, looking for the best in everyone, which includes Lila annoyingly. She’s also super honest, everyone she’s liked romantically which has only been Prince Ali lol, she’s told them to some extent lol. Her and Juleka were shown to be close but as the show went on, I was like oh, are these two together? They never say it but they’re always together in the background, arms interlocked and I was like oh okay they’re dating lol. And then in one episode where Juleka’s song gets taken or something, she sings a (good) song about basically loving Rose and then trying to add her friends in at the end and I was like lol okay girl. We know, don’t hide it. They’re cute. It’s the quiet shy one and bright loud one trope lol.
As Pigella she is imbued with the power of Jubilation and her special ability is Gift which gives the user the ability to conjure a gift box that the she can open to reveal the target’s deepest wish. Sometimes I feel like these powers be super weird and convoluted lol. Rose keeps her personality because she’s already happy so becoming happy isn’t hard for her lol. I think her outfit is cute but it’s very ballerina and we’ve never seen her have any interest in that, I feel like they should have set that up a little or gone the way of her band. I mean, I guess she doesn’t HAVE to show interest in ballet for her costume to resemble one but I don’t know, I feel like they could have made it a bit more… something else lol. Her miraculous is a bracelet which she already wears some pink ones and you can’t see it while she’s transformed so good job Rose lol. I also think that maybe you can’t tell it’s her based off her costume, her hair changes but her big eyes are still there lol and her voice… so I don’t know. The Miraculous magic would really be in overtime lol.
Top Choice: Zoe Margaret Colletti
So I have seen Zoe in a couple of things, she was in Annie (2014) and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and I think in Annie she was young and super cute and I enjoyed her in Scary Stories, I felt like she was a good lead. She has big blue eyes like Rose and I feel like she would do great with Rose’s over the top friendly, sweet, obsessive and loud personality.

- Grace VanderWaal – I haven’t seen Stargirl yet, but I like her look.
- Lilia Buckingham – I saw her in Hocus Pocus 2 and I feel like her role was small so there wasn’t a ton to see compared to the other two but I liked her enough that she stuck out in my mind. I think she’s cute and while blonde, she has this kind of… it’s hard to describe but look at her blonde and look at Rose lol.
- Angourie Rice – She’s a good actress from the things I’ve seen her in, I feel like this would be different for her, and she’d have fun.
Nathaniel Kurtzberg/Caprikid
Nathaniel is a classmate in Marinette and Adrien’s class, he’s quiet, an introvert and an artist. I feel like the first time we really see him is his episode where he gets akumatized, he has a major crush on Marinette and he makes drawings of a superhero version of himself saving her etc. But we know he’s also pretty observant because of other situations and other akumatized classmates. I think along with many of the characters in this show, he’s quick to jump to conclusions, which they’re teenagers so I guess it’s expected but jeez, give people a chance to explain Nathaniel! But he ends up meeting Marc and they work together to make comics.
Later, he becomes Caprikid imbued with the power of Passion, his super ability is Genesis which allows him to create any object he can imagine and due to his creativity, that works super well for him. I wish his costume was a bit more… well more. It’s kind of plain but fine. I guess he looks like a giant paintbrush with goat fur so lol. His miraculous are like hair pins, you can’t really tell where they are because he has horns but there’s no way he just walks around with them in his hair… they’re giant and white. But anyway, he’s pretty much the same, he doesn’t really change personalities like some others do, he also looks the same so you could definitely know who he is.
I also don’t think it’s fully confirmed but he and Marc seem to have a little thing going on if that little moment where Marinette finds him and Marc alone and awfully close to kissing it seemed like. Which is cool, they have a nice little chemistry.
Top Choice: Graham Verchere
With Graham, I know he’s been in a few things, things I plan to watch but haven’t gotten to, but as soon as I saw him, I was like, oh that’s Nathaniel. So I checked out a few interviews and he has this kind of… awkwardness about him that I think works for Nathaniel. I watched a few clips of him in The Good Doctor (he does great by the way) and I dunno, he’s just stuck in my mind for Nathaniel. Just dye his hair red lol.

- Jacob Tremblay – I’ve been a big fan since Room, still wild he wasn’t nominated for the Oscar that year but I think he’d be great. I feel like I have Jacob in mind for a lot of fan casts that he would be great in. But he’d be a great Nathaniel. He has a sweetness to him that I think works for Nathaniel.
- Ian Alexander – Ian was my original choice a few years ago but as I was redoing this since some of my original options aged out of my age range, I found Graham but I liked Ian’s vibe which is why I chose them the first time around.
Marc Anciel/Rooster Bold
I think Marc is in a different class then our main group, I feel like we’ve only seen him when they’re maybe not at school or in shared spaces, I also felt like he was a year behind them as well but I don’t think that’s the case, just a different class. Upon further investigation, I was originally right, he and Zoe are in the same class I think. When we first meet him, he’s shy, quiet and nervous and he’s a writer. Marinette finds out about this, because he’s writing a story about LB and Nathaniel as Evilillustrator, which to this day makes me laugh because why lol? But anyway, hijinks ensue, and Marinette gets him akumatized, he becomes a villain they defeat but then he becomes their friend. We don’t see Marc a ton throughout the show, he pops up here and there but he’s quite noticeable because he’s very pretty.
When he’s Rooster Bold, he’s imbued with the power of Pretension (which is so funny to me) and his super ability, which is is kind of weird, is called Sublimation and he can add a superpower to whatever he’s doing with caveats. I think his costume is one of the best in terms of hiding his identity, like there is no way you’d know that Rooster Bold is Marc. But since his Miraculous is on his hand and none of his other fingers look like talons, I think it wouldn’t be hard to notice but if his other fingers looked similar, it’d be better, similar to how Juleka’s on one hand. It’s fine lol, I like his costume a lot. But his personality definitely changes, if you have the Rooster Miraculous it’d have too since Rooster’s are loud and in your face, so Marc gets confident in his abilities.

Top Choice: Louis Partridge
I’ve seen this actor fancast in a lot of roles, and I think he’s in those Enola Holmes movies (which I need to watch) and this Peter Pan movie I plan to watch so I’m really going off of looks and vibes. I think he looks like Marc, Marc is so pretty and I think Louis has a really beautiful face lol. Plus, I feel like he has the ability (just from seeing interviews) to be shy and sweet but also confident as Marc and as Rooster Bold.

- Dylan Kingwell – Mostly going off of looks, I feel like he looks like Marc and has a strong face but that’s all I was going off of for him.
- Finn Wolfhard – People always fancast Finn and I like Finn, he also has a very strong face, which I think is necessary for Marc. I think he could do it if given the chance.
Zoe Lee/Vesperia
Zoe Lee was added in the show in S4 and she’s fine. Like her character is a little boring but I don’t have a fundamental problem with her. To me she was created because Thomas Astruc doesn’t want to allow Chloe to actually grow and have a redemption arc even though they keep setting her up for one… so I think Zoe was created to just take Chloe’s place in the superhero team. But Zoe is fine, she’s sweet and caring and friendly to everyone. She has a creative streak as we see her dying her own hair and customizing her shoes. She is the product of an affair from her mother’s side, which is wild. She actually gets along very well with Andre Bourgeois (Chloe’s dad). I do appreciate how she’s not always up in Adrinette’s relationship like the rest of their friends, but she is a year younger than them and she has been confirmed to have a crush on Marinette, so all that could be reasons.
As Vesperia she’s imbued with the power of Action and her special power is Venom. She’s the same but like everyone else, uses her natural talents to her advantage when fighting crime. But she’s nicer in the role than Chloe, because she’s just nicer than Chloe lol. Her outfit is fine, I like her shoes, I think her mask looks weird, someone said it reminded them of a wasp and I can’t unsee it lol. But I think her Miraculous is kind of well hidden on both her costume and regularly since it’s a hair comb and she tends to wear a hat lol and unless you know that, you’d just think it was part of her costume.
She does get the chance to wear the Black Cat miraculous where she becomes Kitty Noire and I dislike her outfit, I think it’s the color scheme, I don’t know… the green is like… too bright, she works well with Scarabella, which makes sense as in another universe, they are that world’s main heroes.
Top Choice: Lulu Wilson
Going off vibes and looks, I feel like Lulu Wilson, who I was introduced to because my friend was telling me about Ouija: Origin of Evil and I watched a clip with her, I immediately was like “oh, I forgot about Zoe, oh that Lulu girl would be perfect.” That’s literally what happened. I think she even checks the box of looking like Zoe as well.
